Jomara Rivas’s journey in the roofing industry began in 2006, helping her mother run a roofing company. It was through this work that she met her husband and inspired by her roots and passion for the trade, founded Rivas Roofing & Exteriors LLC in September 2020. Just as her business was beginning to take off, Jomara was diagnosed with COVID-19 and spent two years on oxygen support. Despite the physical challenges, she remained committed to running her company, relying on physical therapy and resilience to recover.  

Between 2020 and 2022, the business operated primarily as a subcontractor. By 2022, Jomara had regained strength and was back to leading her business full-time — selling jobs, expanding operations, and building a strategic plan for growth. Today, we proudly celebrate Rivas Roofing & Exteriors LLC for being named one of the Top 50 Fastest Growing Minority Women-Owned Enterprises in Rochester.
