Operations Management Trainee Program

Program Requirements


As an Operations Manager Trainee, you will learn to manage the daily warehouse operations of the facility and supervise the drivers and warehouse staff. You will learn to demonstrate superior customer service that meets each customer’s unique set of delivery and installation requirements as well as assist the assistant branch manager in maintaining inventory levels and day-to-day operations.

Operations Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure that work orders are pulled quickly and accurately.
  • Manage all phases of inventory control to include purchasing, weekly cycle counts, pricing, review, and disposition of damaged and outdated stock.
  • Oversee orders are loaded and unloaded for the vendor or customer promptly.
  • Oversee the dispatching of trucks for timely and accurate delivery of products to worksites.
  • Assist branch managers with all other areas of running the branch.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Handle incoming customer complaints in a prompt and courteous manner, assist or direct warehouse personnel in loading and unloading trucks, track and report stock levels using Agility software/computer system, coordinate purchases of materials for re-sale through the Branch Manager to ensure duplicate orders are avoided. Other duties include order processing and day-end balancing.

Education and Experience:
3 years of leadership experience.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 15 pounds at times.
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions. Exposure to high noise level in the work environment.
