Sonya Wells holds the position of Chief Information Officer for SRS Distribution. She has over 20 years of experience in the building material and home center industries with a proven track record in migrating acquisitions and multiple operating systems onto one common platform.
Sonya began her career in the banking industry in Northern Indiana where she implemented various systems and managed the depositor records department. In 1989, she joined a chain of Ace Hardware stores in the role of Systems Manager. While at Ace Hardware, she managed the implementation of a fully integrated Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
In 1998, Sonya accepted a position with Shelter Distribution, Inc. as the Director of Information Systems. At Shelter, she directed the company's migration to a Window's-based version of the existing ERP system as well as the technology integration of multiple acquisitions. Prior to SRS, her most recent assignment was with Beacon Roofing Supply, Inc. as the Director of IT Extended Applications with a focus on Business Intelligence, where she managed the design and implementation of an information management system to extract and report data from the Beacon ERP system.
